BOOK REVIEW: Legacy of Ash by Matthew Ward

Hello, hello. It's been a while since I wrote a book review on here. April was a hectic month and I barely read anything. However, we've started off May with a bang. I've already shared my review on GOODREADS but I decided to do it here as well.

Before I start, I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with the eARC which I got approved for after I bought the book since it came out earlier in the UK. READ MORE

MINI REVIEWS: 2 amazing 5-star reads about mental health and LGBTQ+

Hi guys, I've decided to come on here with two mini-reviews since I have two 5-star books that I haven't talked about yet. They are YA contemporaries that I absolutely LOVED and I didn't know how to express my feelings for them. That's why they are short and messy.

BOOK REVIEW: Thorn by Intisar Khanani

By Yuli Atta

Thank you to Readers First and the publisher for providing me with an early copy of the book.

Soooo, I don't know how to review this book. I didn't expect to like it at all but I actually fell in love with it. It's certainly on the 3.75 side rather than a solid 4-star rating but still. I enjoyed it a lot.

BOOK REVIEW: Th Empire of Gold by S. A. Chakraborty

GOODREADS

Actual rating 4.40 because while I found the ending satisfying, I would've loved to see a few things done slightly differently but I will talk about that in a minute.

Oh my god, where do I even start?

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with the eARC of this book. It made me very happy and means a lot to me.

I have to admit, I didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did because I had a kind of a rough ride with the first book and I listened to the second book at x2.3. I feel like that's when I actually got invested in the story because I remember missing the characters after finishing The Kingdom of Copper. When I got the email that my wish was granted I was so, so excited!

BOOK REVIEW; The Kingdom of Copper by S. A. Chakraborty

(You can also find this review on GOODREADS.)

This review will also be just my rambles that I hope end up making sense.

I wasn't completely sold on the whole plot for a while and the book was a solid 3-star read for me until the middle and after that, especially the last 200 just raised the stakes and my rating because, oo my god, the DRAMA, the fights, the DANGER and that ENDING!

BOOK REVIEW: The City of Brass by S. A. Chakraborty

(You can also find this review on GOODREADS.)

Finally, after God only knows how long I have finished a book and not just a book but the City of Brass itself.

At first, I thought of writing a proper review for it but as I kept reading I just realized I didn't know how to put everything into words so it could all make sense. Instead, I'll present you with my rambles and hope they make at least a little bit of sense.

BOOK REVIEW: Aurora Rising

Review by Yuli Atta

It's been around a week since I finished this book and the one thing that I can't get out of my mind is the feeling this book left in me.

I can't even put it properly into words but enjoyment-wise this is a 4-star read but writing-wise it's a 3-star read and I've rated it 4 because I rate based on my enjoyment most of the time. So, now I've decided that my rating should be 3.5 stars and just round it to 4.
