K-DRAMA REVIEW: Tell Me What You Saw

Tell Me What You Saw is a South Korean drama with thriller and crime investigation elements that's directed by Lee Jong Hyeong. While the synopsis given on My Drama List and Viki doesn't make it sound like anything exceptional to other dramas, it's actually a very well-written and executed story with superb acting, that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Knight's Honour: Game Script (assessment for university)

Outline:

  Knight’s Honour is a single-player game about a boy who wants to become a knight but comes across a lot of obstacles, one of them being that he has to work for the man who killed his father. It’s called Knight’s Honour because during his time as an apprentice he witnesses a lot of questionable things these supposedly people of honour do. It is a story about personal growth and it is set in a fictional world where knighthood is a profession just as much as carpentry. This is a fantasy-adventure RPG set in a medieval fictional world with a linear-branching narrative. The story begins with Darius, the main character, who is set on revenge. He wants to kill sir Fray, the antagonist, because he killed Darius’ father. During his journey to achieve his goal Darius encounters sir Barty who is the trickster and the Golden Lady who is the mentor. The core mechanics allow Darius to run, ride, fight, fence, talk, take and use items. In the end, Darius realises that sir Fray isn’t the main antagonist, the one responsible for his father’s death is the Crown. The game ends with a cut scene in which Darius says that he is going to take down the Crown in order to get justice for every family who has lost a member because of them. The intended audience is young adult and the publishing platform is PC. 

All censorship is wrong

All censorship is wrong. Censorship curtails and limits free speech and artistic expression. It is a tool of those in power who seek to impose their morals, views and values on to the individual.

This is a case study on '13 Reasons Why' exploring the controversial topics of the book and show.

‘Thirteen Reasons Why’ is a young adult book written by Jay Asher and published in 2007, later adapted into a Netflix show which aired in 2017. It’s developed by a group of people, including Brian Yorkey and Selena Gomez.

Reflective log week 8

I didn't heart from the bookstores I emailed, asking if they'd agree for an interview.

This week I approached two people who work with Netherland Dwarf rabbits and asked them if they'd do an interview with me. They both agreed but I managed to interview only one of them (I called them on Facebook) and I haven't heard from the other one in days.

My third and last backup plan is a feature about how Falmouth students are dealing with the quarantine and social distancing. I haven't talked to any yet because I've decided to wait just a bit more in case I hear from the bunny breeder. 

My problem with the new feature idea is that I've no idea what kind of pictures I should use but I will ask the people I interview to take some for me which would be their interpretation of the situation.

One positive this week was that Melissa and I finally recorded the podcast, I wrote the intro for it and we have an image. Now she just needs to edit it.

The plan for next week is to find a way to do my feature and start working on my the rest of the assessment.

Isabelle Weall Biography (assessment for uni, all based on information found on the Internet)

(This is a piece I had to write from my creative non-fiction class. I had to make it creative and entertaining while still keeping to the facts. I've included my sources as I do NOT own anything in this piece.)

Isabelle Weall is not like other sixteen-year olds. She was born on the 29^th of June 2003.

She is exceptional because she is a quadruple amputee. Izzy lost both her arms and legs when she was seven years old after contracting meningitis septicemia. She suffered a heart attack and organ failure and her parents were told that she had less than one per cent chance of survival. Despite all odds, she made it.

The weirdest BL drama I've watched so far

Hi guys! Today I'm talking about a certain BL drama I recently finished watching and how weird it was. 

For those of you who don't know, BL stands for 'boys love'. I don't know how popular of a genre it is if you aren't looking specifically for it but it seems to have a big market in Thailand because they come out with multiple dramas a year. I recently finished TharnType and Until We Meet Again which aired last year and were completed early this year. I loved both and I've watched many more before. I'm currently watching Why R U? wich I'm obsessed with and 2gether which I'm also obsessed with. Thre's another currently ongoing show called My Engineer that I'm yet to watch but it's on my list.

Murder over Bong - a creatively retold true story from 2018

It was another normal and boring day at work. I was surrounded yet again by dusty piles of clothes and I was very hungry. It was around 1pm and we had two more hours before the last break for the day. I knew that I should have eaten more at lunch but it was so hot in this small room full of clothes and people that I couldn’t have been bothered with it. On top of that, I was almost out of water.
